ABOUT DR. CHARLES DOYLE
Dr. Charles Doyle is currently a non-executive director, strategic advisor, author and consultant on all aspects of marketing and communications to companies, organisations, universities and charities.
From 2007- 2017, Charles was the Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for JLL, the international commercial real estate company. Prior to that role he held the positions of Global CMO and Business Development Officer for Clifford Chance (2005- 2007), one of the world’s larger law firms. He was also a Global Director of Marketing and Communications with Accenture (1997 to 2005) which included executive positions in global brand development, service line marketing and industry sector marketing. In the first half of his career, Charles has also held international marketing, business development and strategy roles for BT, Fujitsu and the UK Atomic Energy Authority.
With over 35 years of experience working in international companies in the USA, Europe and Asia, Charles has specialized in professional services marketing, global brand and image development, digital marketing, communications as well as international business development and strategy.
Charles attended the University of Glasgow where he was awarded an MA Honors degree in English and History (1980). He won a postgraduate place at Oxford University where he conducted historical research into corruption in the French judicial system during the French Revolution. He was awarded the degree of D. Phil. from Oxford University in Modern History (1986).
A published writer and conference speaker, he is the author of the widely acclaimed Oxford Dictionary of Marketing published in 2016 (4th edition) and is currently working on a book on market segmentation for Kogan Page.
